British Medical Experts is a medico-legal chambers. Most of our 280+ experts had never considered writing a report for a court before we found them.
They are practising consultants, doctors and dentists, reporting in personal injury and clinical negligence claims. We train and mentor them into confident expert witnesses while they remain in clinical practice, so the opinion you receive is current. We watch market demand closely and track unfilled instructions, recruiting against both.
How they work matters as much as the number of experts we have. Ours learn the duty to the court before their first instruction, and how to examine someone injured, anxious and wishing they were elsewhere. A good expert knows the limits of their expertise and states them, which is what survives cross-examination. As an EWI Corporate Partner, we fund membership and Bond Solon training for the panel.
The rest we keep simple. A proposal naming your expert and a fixed fee returns the same working day, and the quoted fee is the expert’s. Reports comply with CPR Part 35 and take seven to ten working days.
Whatever you are struggling to source, it is worth an ask.
