Patrick Boyd is a clinical director, case manager and registered social worker at BPJ Case Management. Before moving into case management, he gained experience working in various social care settings, including child protection, adult mental health, care management and adult safeguarding.
He began working as a case manager in the field of independent brain and spinal injury rehabilitation in 2016. His work involves supporting individuals with an acquired brain injury (ABI) and their families through the rehabilitation process, meeting their needs, promoting access to services, and maximising their quality of life.
Patrick is passionate about ABI and social work education and is a visiting lecturer in social work at Teesside University, working with both undergraduate and postgraduate students to raise the profile of acquired brain injury and associated issues.
Patrick is a registered practitioner member of BABICM (British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers), a registered social worker in England with Social Work England, and an independent member of BASW (British Association of Social Workers).
He is the safeguarding lead for BPJ and a voluntary trustee at both Headway Teesside and BISWG (Brain Injury Social Work Group).
