Mike Benner is the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers’s (APIL) chief executive. He leads the organisation as it works towards its vision of a society without needless injury but, when people are injured, a society that offers the justice they need to rebuild their lives.
Mike is a seasoned campaigner and leader of membership organisations and has been a key player in various major consumer campaigns and in leading change and strategy development in the not-for-profit sector. He joined APIL in 2019, having previously led the Society of Independent Brewers, and, before that, CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale.
Mike has led the development and delivery of APIL’s strategic plan, ‘Building a Brighter Future for Injured People’, which includes driving excellence in legal representation and ensuring full and prompt redress for victims of negligence.
